Welcome to my site, my name is Alex and I am the principal attorney for Shmulsky Law. I am licensed in both New York and Massachusetts and take cases throughout the Capital Region and upstate New York, including Albany, Saratoga, Ticonderoga, Elizabethtown, and Plattsburgh and everywhere in between, including cases in Western Massachusetts.
I am the attorney you need to hire if you are looking for effective legal representation. Having practiced law for the greater part of a decade I have the experience to help guide you to the results you want. I have an ability to handle simple legal matters and highly complicated cases that other lawyers avoid. I am a meticulous researcher, both judges and opposing counsel know that I am prepared to back-up my clients.
When I was fourteen years of age, my older brother was charged with a serious crime. My parents hired a lawyer that came in and “saved the day” for my family. This lawyer guided them through the justice system to successful results. That very day I decided I wanted to help people like that lawyer had my brother and my family. I became an attorney ten years later in 2007, and I started my firm. Since then, I have successfully handled many types of legal situations, and I would like the opportunity to assist you with your current legal needs.
I am a general practice attorney, however, my areas of expertise include:
Criminal defense: In County and Town Courts, for all crimes including: Drunk Driving, Violent Crimes, drug cases, domestic cases and traffic tickets
Divorce: from simple uncontested to complex contested trials including family law and custody disputes
Real estate: Residential and Commercial closings, deeds, property disputes and rights of way, and evictions.
I also work with many small business owners and provide legal services that small businesses need.
What sets me apart from the rest? Communication. Customer service is of the upmost importance to me. All calls and messages are answered or returned promptly by me. I am your lawyer and I am available to you. Clients are encouraged to call, text or message me any time they would like to contact me. I believe communication is the most important step to assure my clients make informed smart decisions. I will explain your case every step of the way, and I will work towards resolving it for you on your terms.
You Can Contact me via telephone, text, email, Facebook or via this website.
I look forward to hearing from you and getting started.
